I enjoyed it a little more than you I think. Although what lets it down for me is the fan service. Bringing characters back, and quotes. Even the ship itself. It could stand on its own two feet if they had the confidence for it to.
I love the style and the relatively sparing use of cgi. I appreciated that the xenamorphes weren’t cgi! Andy was the stand out for me.
I am glad you enjoyed it, Gareth! I did too, at least until it dawned on me that even a very competent Alien movie isn’t going to bring back the magic of the first one. Compared to other franchises, there is just no real room to grow (at least in my opinion :-)
Come on Godfather, play the hits: Fredo in a little boat, Kiss the ring, and of course, Shootout in an Italian Restaurant. And for a crossover movie: Godfather VS Scarface!

This is very true! It would be like making a franchise out of The Godfather.

Yes 😂. And maybe a long lost Corleone turns up in a Sopranos spinoff. Actually..I’m liking the sound of this..
I love it too! Great idea. Was thinking i would also pay to see Michael Corleone vs Tony Montana, these days they can do anything and everything :-)
